This painting was inspired by a bar maid I saw on the smallest of islands in the Bahamas. In tells the tale of Island images, flavors and smells of flowers, oceans and conch shells, large fish and enjoyment of life, the beauty of the islands and its people like this happy young woman behind a bar.
About Barbara Anna Knauf
Born in Germany, Barbara Anna Knauf (also known as Anna K.) studied art in Berlin and was also privileged to study Chinese Water Color painting with 90-year old Professor Liu from Shanghai in Sausalito, California. She has studied various art media forms at Lighthouse Ctr of the Arts in Tequesta, Jupiter, Florida and also in Arezzo, Italy. She began exhibiting her Impressionist painting work at the Artist Gallery of Palm Beach, Beyond D�cor, Palm Beach, Lighthouse Ctr. for the Arts in Jupiter, The Village Art Studios, Tequesta and Partners on Design in Tequesta.
